6. Next, tell us your cost of attendance

The estimated Cost of Attendance for full-time students at Thrust Flight is $145,000. This amount is used by Sallie Mae to determine the maximum loan amount a student may be eligible to borrow.

The Cost of Attendance may include tuition and fees, training materials, books and supplies, housing, meals, transportation, and other eligible education-related expenses.

You may use the estimated Cost of Attendance as listed, or enter your own amount. You are not required to borrow the full amount and will have the opportunity to choose your final loan request later in the application.

Starting at Instrument$96,000$104,100

7. Now, let’s factor in your financial aid

This type of aid is meant to assist students with college coursework. Thrust Flight is not a college — enter “0” in this section to proceed.

8. This is how much you may need to borrow

Unlike most flight schools, Thrust Flight’s program cost is all-inclusive. Your loan amount already covers everything you need to complete training — no surprise bills along the way:

  • All Training Materials — headset, iPad, pilot supplies, and everything else you need to complete training are included
  • First-attempt Examiner & Knowledge Test Fees — all checkride and written test fees for your first attempt are covered
  • $5,000 refundable reserve — built in to protect you against any unplanned overages; unused funds are refunded to you

You may also add a Living Expense Stipend to your loan to cover food, gas, rent, and bills during training.

9. Finally, let’s decide on the amount of the loan request

You can submit your application individually or with a cosigner. If you’re not sure, submit individually first to see if you qualify on your own. A cosigner may be added to the application later.

You’ll likely have questions while filling out the application — most answers can be found on this page. Please refer back to this page during the application.
